About
Welcome to KEMBALii.
KEMBALii is a culture which stands for the expression of music, abstract art, and the liberation of self expression. It was founded in 2020 in New York by a multi faceted designer. The brand started as a hyper customization service; the designer collected & sourced vintage T-shirts which they then customized and tailored elements in the customization with the recipients in mind. Once completed, the vintage shirts had be given a second life as wearable art pieces; with that theme in mind the designer stumbled on the Indonesian phrase "Kembali" which translates to "to comeback / to return." The designer then added a second 'i' to the word and stylistically spelled it "KEMBALii" with idea being that the double "i' represented the brand's "comeback/return" theme.
The designer continued his hyper-custom services expanding their array of art wardrobe: everything from painted jeans, bleaching techniques on hoodies, painting sneakers, and what they called "The Kingsman Jackets" (The ultimate hyper custom leather jacket designed to tell the story of the recipient: birthyear, zodiac, favorite song lyrics/quotes, religious/spiritual beliefs, cultural backgrounds and more.
The ready to wear collection features a monogram pattern unlike any other. The pattern contains the Logo for "KEMBALii" & the Greek letters Alpha & Omega which stand for "The Beginning & The End." Together, the pattern tells life's cycle - The Beginning, The End, The return. The designer's intended message is "Though our time is limited, our Energy never dies." The pattern is featured on a limited number of garments with plans to expand.
Since the founding of KEMBALii, the designer has never left his roots of abstract painting which they also keep the element of hyper customization for the brands/companies bold enough to purchase an art piece.
KEMBALii's mission is to become the next great household name of our generation through pushing the unique message of the monogram pattern - Though our time is limited, our energy never dies.
